Missing buttons.

ok i just kinda came across another bug. after preforming a full update including CD and DD for CC+. i notice that all the buttons are missing. i tired repairing the base program, which did work. only to find out that by repairing it. it also broke the features of cd and DD. i tried repairing cd and i lost the buttons. the buttons themselves are still functional thou. it just appears that the bars are blank.

I might be able to help you if I knew a bit more about what you did.

When you say a full update what does that mean?

What exactly did you install/update?

In what order did you install/update it?

Did you remember to switch off your antivirus software before installing/updating the software?

Did you install/update everything as the administrator?

i should have been blunt. i was experiencing some odd problems. so i did a full uninstall. and then reinstalled a brand new version of cc+. then i installed cd for cc+ and dd for cc+. so if i were to be specific. i installed cc+ Version 3.74, then CD3 Setup for CC3+ lastly DD3 Setup for CC3+.

i did not switch my antivirus off. thou that had little to no effect on it as it considered this program a safe program. and i did everything in administration.

that said the base CC+ works without any issue. but when i add cd or dd the buttons becomes invisible. i can still click and use it. so this has to be more of a glitch.

Make sure to run the latest update (currently 8) after install all the add-ons.

but that should be part of the base install? as the current version of the game is Version 3.74. and the update is for Version 3.74. unless their is a glitch where their not installing properly. i dont see why it would bug out like that. then again i will give it a shot.

Remember, the patch updates the files installed by the add-ons too. Even if your base install is 3.74, once you have installed add-ons, you have introduced additional files which may need patching. That's why running the patch at the end of add-on installs is always recommended.

you think it would have been updated with the upgraded versions. that you would not have to do this. as their is nothing suggestion that this is needed. still it did fix the issue. i think this program need to rework its updating process. or ensure that the update is .1 higher then the base. that way you know you need to install it.

Updating the installation files for the addons are done from time to time, but it does require time and effort, as well as testing, so it isn't always done at the same time as the main program.

Another ting to note about the patch is that in addition to installing the latest files, it also runs maintenance on your menu files, so even if you already have the latest version, running the patch can fix problems with your installation even if it doesn't actually intall anything new/updated.
