Tome all dungeon drawing tool question

I understand the basic concept for changing the all dungeon drawing tool to create new drawing tools. I'm attempting to make a drawing tool for a walled cave. The Tome showed me exactly how to do this. However, in the dungeon drawingtool, the floor I want for my cave isn't listed as one of the options. I want to use the dirt bitmap that doesn't have a numbered behind it, and I want to make it walled. I know how to make a walled drawing tool, but I don't know how to make a drawing tool with a different floor than what is listed. Anyone know how to do this?

The dialog will only show the fill styles defined in the template. If you wish to use a fill style not already in the template, you need to import it first (Tools --> import bitmap fill styles, or simply define a new style in the fill style dialog, and browse to the file you need.)

Note that if you make a drawing tool with a fill style that is not in the template by default, you must import it into every map before using the tool in it. (If you use it a lot, you can also make a new template with this fill style already defined.)
  • Importing the fill was.the first thing I did, and I've already used it. I actually do prefer this particular dirt.fill, and it is one of the profantasy fill. So how do I make a drawing g tool using that fill for the floor? Once I have that established, then I can use it to make my walled cave drawing tool.

Follow up question- if the fill is not part of the template, but IS a profantasy bitmap, will it cause red x's in my fcw for anyone.that hasn't imported.the fill?

Once the fill is imported into the map, there aren't any additional steps to make it available for use in a drawing tool. When accessing the properties of your new drawing tool, it should be listed in the properties box for the drawing tool in the use fill style dropdown. This dropdown always lists all the fills in the current map. Make sure that the map you have open while editing the drawing tool is the same as the one you imported the fill into though, as this box is populated based on the fills in the current maps, drawing tools doesn't have an internal list.
If it doesn't show up, can you send med the map file in question, and the file for your drawing tool, and I will have a look.

No, not as long as they own the product the fill come from. The definition is stored in the map, not in the program, so everyone who gets a copy of the map will have the exact same fill style ddefinitions in it as you have.
