Fractal Terrains: Image overlay
I am trying to figure out how to use the savannah, desert, etc functions in Fractal Terrains. I added an Image overlay and proceeded to Overlay Paint Tool. I choose Desert and start trying to put deserts into the map but I ended up square white dots on the map instead. Is there an explanation on how to use it?

If you are interested in painting textures onto your map, might I recommend the "Textured Climate" shader? Paint the climate types directly onto the climate map using Tools>>Paint Values>>Climate. Select Map>>Show Other Shader>>Show Textured Climate to show the climate types as swatches of textures rather than solid colors. You will likely need to increase the resolution of the world editing system using Map>>World Settings, Editing page: a custom size of 4000 or more will probably work reasonably well.
