DD3 installed, now what?

I purchased and installed CC3+ last week. I loved it so much that today i bought DD3 and installed it, but cant seem to access its content. Am i supposed to update CC3 or something?

I pretty much only use my computer to play RPGs via Fantasy Grounds with some old friends. Very illiterate with computer lingo. Dont want to be an expert, just want this to work.

Any help is very much appreciated.

Hi lance, welcome to CC3 and the ProFantasy forum.

You should have a DD3 button on your toolbar that displays the DD3 symbol catalogues. DD3 drawing tools become available when you start a new map and select a "Dungeon" map type.

I suggest you install the latest update for CC3+. As I write this, that's CC3+ Update 8, which you should be able to download from your registration page. If you already did that but then installed DD3 afterward, run the update again and choose the Repair option.

I also highly recommend you disable any antivirus software you're running before installing any ProFantasy software (sometimes there are conflicts which can cause problems). Run the setup program by right-clicking it and then choosing "Run as Administrator" from the pop-up menu (if it's an option). Doing both of those can help avoid some common installation problems. Personally, I just do it whenever I install anything from ProFantasy.

Don't forget to re-enable your antivirus software after you're done installing stuff.

CC3+ (which means the add-ons, too) has a learning curve but, honestly, it gets easier and, once you get used to it, you can do some pretty amazing stuff! It really helps to read the Essentials booklets and follow the tutorials. They're fun and informative. The CC3+ Users Manual has a lot of good information too. And if you like videos, be sure to check out Joe Sweeney's tutorials on YouTube.

    Cheers!
