CC3+ Doesnt' obey.... :(

Hi, i m a very beginner....
i have many difficulties, creating my map.
I already set coasts, 3 rivers, 2 mountains area, and 2 BIG forests...
I ve these problems :
I am trying to create a new river...but even if i try changing properties,
the new river remains of a strange "grey" colour...even if sheet is set on "river",
the couloru on blue 68, as others rivers.
My idea is to make a river which starts frorm a mountain, runs on a plateau, falls down by a
mountainous area, by a cliff waterfall and after it, runs on a plain, before die into the sea.
I drew the mountainous area by default countour line command, but can't avoid that river hiddens
behind the mountainous area. I tried bring to front and bring infront of commands, but they both don't work.
Pls help me!

Hello Irishman :) Welcome to the Profantasy Forum.

Do you have a picture you can post to show us what you mean?

    here it is...
as you can see, both the river, and the cliff waterfall symbol, are hidden by the mountains area (created by countour line command). I tried both bring to front and bring infront, but didn't work.
(I solved river coulour problem, instead....i erased the river, the mountainous area, drew the river againg before the mountainous area and this time worked!)

It looks to me like you might have the river on a sheet that's beneath the sheet on which you have drawn your mountain area.

I never use the contour tool, so I don't know where it places mountain areas (ie which sheet it puts them on), but at a logical guess it would place the mountain area on the contour sheet?

If you open the sheets dialogue by clicking the yellow button to the left of the view with three sheets on it, check that the Sheet called RIVERS comes after the sheet called CONTOURS, and see it that helps?

CC3/CC3+ draws sheets startnig at the top of the list first.

    Background
    Sea
    land
    river
    symbols
    text
    grid

Grid being drawn last and on top of everything else.
  • Wow!!!
    It worked!!!
    Thank you guys...
I forgot that i created a new sheet for my mountain zone....and i didn't think about the sheet position!!
    Thank you really...

Its easily done. LOL. We all do it at least once. I spent a whole day looking for pebbles on my sand, only to realise I had the pebble sheet hidden by the sand sheet ;)
