Fractalizing a Land Mass

I am working on mapping an existing setting, one that I already have hand-drawn maps for. I misunderstood how to use the fractalizing tool, and in my foolish confidence I did the entire planet before I realized that the polygons of the continent and the background green will not match/line up. I thought it would simply bring everything along with it.

Plainly I missed an important point there. Can anyone either assist me in correcting this mistake, or show me how to proceed? I am including the file in question if you care to poke at it.

I feel like I've bitten off more than I can chew with this project.

  • Hmmm... I don't see any problems there.

    1) When fractalizing, any bitmap fill/color edge color wont follow the item being fractalized.

    2) You can use the Node Edit to move edges of bitmap fills so they line up with a map border or landmass again.

    3) fractalizing, I don't click more than 3 or 4 times. WIndows gets a bit hyper when extensive fractalizing is done.

But as I said, I don't see any problems. Well, the dark green edge of the landmasses is a bit thicker than I would make it, but thats personal choice.
  • A lot of these settings are the way they are because I'm bumbling through this. The dark green edge is thicker than I would make it too. I just haven't made it there.

As I recent learned, you can also use CHANGEDT to apply a drawing tool to the landmass to get the outline redrawn to follow the new coastlines. You should be able to tweak the drawing tool to new coastline values if desired and then reapply.
