Seeing original properties

I was wondering if there is a way to see the original dimensions of the map you created. I mean when you first make the map and select the size?

I don't know of a way, but I'll add that I think that this would be a useful feature. Also might be nice to know what original template was chosen.

Well, for the template info, there might be.

    Try this:
    1. Select File>Drawing Properties from the menu bar.
      The Drawing presets dialog displays.
    2. Click the Map notes button.
      The Select Note dialog displays.
    3. Select Template and then click Edit.
The Edit Text dialog displays, showing information about the template.
Not sure if that'll give all the info you're looking for about the template, but it may be worth a shot.

    Cheers,

The dimensions might not show in the template information, because it can be dynamically adjusted in the New Map wizard. But you can always use "Distance" from the Info menu to measure the height and width of your map.
  • Oh well, my continental map is about 170 miles shorter than what my country map is. I guess I will write that off to medieval engineering. Thanks for the tip Ralf, at least now I know.
