Any one working on Fonstad Styles?
i love the program, have for longer than i want to admit (first bought CCpro, and whenever i have the money i update to whatever the current is.) a question or two that relates to my issue. one of my biggest hurdles is a total inability to draw, so i am largely dependent on symbols from other sources, or making symbols using art from other sources (not my favorite way to go) i am, i think, on the high end of moderate level mapping skill, that one drawback keeping me from progressing further. i am still trying though.
having said that (which now that i look at it is really almost irrelevant..stress almost). i wanted to know if anyone has worked on or is working on a group of styles based on the art of Karen Wynn Fonstad. For those who aren't familiar with her work, i suggest do a google image search, many of her maps will show up. She did atlases for Dragonlance, Forgotten Realms, Pern, and the Land, among her real world maps. She had a flair for overland maps, for cities, for dungeon/buildings, and several isometric views. Basically most of what CC3+ does, a style based on her work would be awesome. If i could draw worth squat, i'd try to tackle it myself, but i find myself intimidated and was wondering if anyone has started a project based on this.
