Hello all,

I just bought Fractial Terrains 3 and to be honest I'm a little confused with it. Unfortunately I have not found any real tutorials and the help from the tool tips don't really help. I played with the program for a little bit and now I'm not even sure if it can manage what I would like to achieve.

What I want is basically to generate a similar to Earth planet with continents. It is really hard for me trying to go from a plane world with only water on it. So I tried to generate a random world and work from there, but all it does every create are very fractial places with small continents. Is there no way to simulate a more earthlike planet?

If there were tutorials or so it would be fine, the program seems complex enough. But I cant figure this out all on my own.

Also, the Simple Create Mode doesn't work as pointed out in the tool tips. After activating it and selecting the paint tools, the icons for climate appear but whenever I chose one the painted colour on the map is white. After execution of create mode it simply puts some land there and doesn't differintiate between mountains, trenches etc.
