My lines keep disappearing

As I was drawing a map I realized that a town was in the wrong spot so I moved it over slightly on the map (I am zoomed in rather far on the map). I then attempted to move the name of the town over as well and it took several tries. The black text turned white when I went to move it as it normally when conducting a move for text. However the word didn't move and the white text remained even after zooming in or out. After several tries I got the text to move to the proper place. That's when the problems started.

Next I drew a white road. Again I am zoomed in a long ways. The road was drawn just fine. I then moved the curser to another spot to draw another road. After drawing the road here I realized I wanted to re-do it, so I clicked "undo". Suddenly both of the past roads disappeared. This happens over and over. I have tried to correct it by closing CC3 and re-opening it as well as restarting my computer and the roads keep disappearing regardless of how many times I draw them.

My lines have a width of 0 or 1 (I've tried both widths).

Edit: Looks like I solved the problem.

Why do the roads keep disappearing after I had the problem attempting to move text as described above? What can I do to stop it from disappearing so I can continue with my map?

Entities that disappear are usually a result of them being placed on the wrong sheet. For performance reasons, everything you draw/place will always appear on top, but when the drawing is redrawn (either because redraw was issues, or you changed zoom levels or scrolled the map), entities are placed correctly in their drawing order as determined by their sheet. When an entity disappears like this, it is therefore usually because it was placed on a sheet that is lower on the drawing order than the visible entities.
  • For the text move, if you have the Ortho button clicked, you can only move things up, down, right, left, but not diagonally. Unclic it, and you can move things around anywhere on the map.
