Vintyri & the Missing Toolbar Icon Problem

Let's start with the old OGL 3.5 vector symbols. This is an ancient product that was made for CC2 Pro. We do not support it anymore. We do not recommend it. We do not know how well it works with CC3 and CC3+. I accidentally deleted it from our download site several year ago, and two or three years later a few users asked where it is and whether they could get it. Only then did I notice that it was gone. I put it back up on the site for those who want it. Try it in CC3 and CC3+ at your own risk. These symbols have nothing to do with the current Vintyri Cartographic Collection raster symbol sets.
Next ... to the folder names on Page 21 of the VSS installation guide:
Yes, the folder names were wrong. I forgot to add the word "Plus" to them in the CC3+ version. For other reasons (see below) I've remade the ZIP files and uploaded them. The folder names now are right. However, the content of the older folders is correct, and the error has no operational effect. These are not operational folders, only backups.
Let's go on to the missing toolbar icons, a more difficult problem to tackle.
There is a known CC3/CC3+ problem with missing toolbar icons, not just Vintyri icons. I've had it too with the the CD3 toolbar. This is one possible cause for your problems. Go to this forum entry for information on how to fix it:

If that doesn't work, open your .mnu file with the Windows Notepad and see if the content uses the @ symbol or the # symbol. If you have the # symbol inside the entries (not at the start of the lines), you somehow got the CC3 version of the toolbars into CC3+ instead of the CC3+ versions. See the attached graphic.
There also is a very strange issue in unpacking our ZIP files. To date, we've found three people who have this problem and many more who don't. It's a mystery to me, unless there's something slightly corrupt with a zip file, so that it works sometimes and doesn't work at other times. We're unable to duplicate it, and none of our alpha testers can duplicate it. With the three people who have reported the issue, the ZIP apparently unpacks without hitch, but the folder:
\Data Folder\CC3Plus\Bitmaps\Icons
does not appear. Today I rezipped the application installation files and substituted the new files for the old on our server. Perhaps that will help in the future. Those who already have downloaded and didn't get the Icons folder described above after unpacking can download this file:
http://http://www.vintyri.org/downloads/vcc_toolbar_icons_cc3plus.zip
or this file
http://http://www.vintyri.org/downloads/vcc_toolbar_icons_cc3.zip
and ZIP it into \Data Folder\CC3Plus or \Data Folder\CC3. The icons then will be available.

My icons folder was missing. I'm using 7-Zip (version 9.38) as my zip tool/utility. I unzipped all the files directly to their installation folders and not to a temporary folder. Which of the original zips have the icons folder in it? I can check that file again and maybe try a different tool to see if it is a 7-Zip issue.
Since yesterday, when we started this conversation, I've gotten feedback from another person whose Windows File Explorer couldn't find \Bitmaps\Icons in either of the ZIPS. After rebooting, he says, the folders showed up. Weird.
In any case, as I mentioned, I made brand new ZIPs yesterday and replaced the old with the new. I hope that this problem now is behind us for all users.
The newer ones had no problems.
