Using CC3 or DD3 for online sessions

Greetings,
I've been trying to find out information on whether or not there is a way to use these maps for online sessions. My family and I use skype for our Pathfinders group and what I have been doing thus far is creating a colored circle for each character then just using the move function to move them where they wish to go. However, there are lots of times that I need to reset my entities because I misclick or select way too many items due to borders. Is there a function where I can 'RUN' this map as a program and not have to worry about the background map?

I hope that makes sense, I have the concept in my head but not finding the right terms to describe it.
Anyways, please let me know of any features, functions or other programs I can utilize my maps for online sessions.

    If you freeze all the layers except the one the tokens are on, they will be the only entities you can affect.

    Also, since you are using CC3 this way, are you aware of the Quick Move command (Edit -> Quick move [Shortcut Ctrl+Q, but for some reason the shortcut don't work for me right now]). It is designed to easily move single entities, like tokens.

    Have you considered using virtual tabletop (VTT) software? If you're not familiar with it, it's designed to facilitate playing RPGs (mostly) over the Internet. Most of them are game-system agnostic, meaning they work with pretty much any game. And most let you import or even create maps, as well as player, NPC, and monster tokens. To use one with CC3 (or the other PF products), you'd export your map to an image (JPG works nicely) and then import that map into the VTT. Most VTTs use some sort of dice-roll simulator and a chat system to help run the game but you can supplement that with Skype or some other Voice-Over-IP software.

    One popular, free, VTT is MapTool, part of the RPTools collection of online gaming utilities. But there are a bunch of others, too! Some VTTs, like MapTool, run on the GM's computer while others, like Roll20, are web-based.

    One other VTT alternative is Mote which is a fork of MapTool with a lot of great things added and is actively developed.
