FT3 is Awesome!
Recently, I've been re-discovering Fractal Terrains and I've been having a lot of fun. After being away from it for years, I am amazed that I've been able to pretty much pick it up right where I left off. It fact, after just a couple of days, I think my skills are even starting to improve to beyond where I was before.
But already I am bumping into to the 32-bit limitations. I'm one of those that set the editing size to 8190 and would love to see it doubled (at least). But as a 32-bit app, you really need to cut editing size way back just to run some of the tools without risking out of memory errors.
Even edit resolution aside, it would be wonderful to have more undo space. With the slider cranked all the way up, sometimes I can't undo back far enough and instead have to go back to the last saved backup.
Any chance we can have a 64-bit version soon? I know Joe has been playing with one, at least experimentally, as far back as at least a few years ago. Are there any major problems that keep it from being released publically?
FT3 is amazing the way it is, but it sure would be more fun to play with as a 64-bit app.
