CC3+ on Windows 10

Hi together,
this weekend I updated my machine to Windows 10 and tried to get CC3+ to run.
There are some strange points, I'd like to put in here, just in case they can help someone.
- On Windows 10 CC3+ doesn't use the ProgramData-Folder. I noticed this when adding CSUAC to my installation. The ProgramData-Folder is completely ignored, I even could delete it without any changes. Adding everything to my custom installation directory and it worked fine.
- CC3+ crashes a LOT when not running as root. You even can crash it if you have any other window in foreground and then using the scrollwheel over the unfocused CC3+-window. When running as root, this crash is gone and the complete installation feels way more stable (this is reproducable to 100% on my system)
- After installing CD3 my CC3+-installation stopped working, it didn't start and there was not the slightest message anywhere. I had to uninstall and reinstall the cc3+-update 2. Simply running it in repair-mode didn't work.
Keep up the mapmaking

I installed all my ProFantasy software when my main computer still was running Windows 7 Ultimate. Later, I did the free Windows 10 update. From the start, everything worked perfectly.
However, I certainly agree with your advice that one shouldn't use the Program Data folder. From the start, I've always used custom installation folders with CC3 and CC3+. Putting anything with which you work into a protected Windows folder is nothing so much as asking for trouble, as far as I'm concerned.

don't get this post wrong, it wasn't any complaint about any problems when installing it. Quite the opposite, I'm very happy there are so many nice symbols and easy to use ones
So don't worry
