CC3+ Problem with layering and shadows
I'm continuing to have some odd issues with CC3+ since the first patch. Ever since that patch, when I add objects to my maps, they don't seem to be set to the correct layers/sheets, or the ordering is off. For example, prior to that, when I would create a Standard Overland map and use the special Forest Mixed brush, it would put the shadows of the shadow behind the trees. Since the patches, the shadow is on top. And when I add objects like mountain on top of a Default Terrain, the objects are put behind the terrain when I redraw. See the attached map as an example.
I'm not sure how to get everything set up so the terrain and objects are in the correct order. I'd appreciate any help or links to other posts that solve this issue.

The shadow for the mixed forest drawn with the mixed forest tool and the terrain polygon which is 'hiding' the mountains underneath are both on the "TERRAIN FOREST" sheet. Sheets are rendered in order starting at the topmost (first) in the sheet list proceeding to the bottom-most (last). Entities drawn later hide entities drawn earlier. In other words, the last sheet 'wins' :-)
In your map, the "TERRAIN FOREST" sheet is at the bottom of the sheet list meaning it will be drawn last ... and hence will hide objects on sheets which are above it in the list. That's why the shadow appears on top of the trees and the terrain polygon appears on top of the mountains.
I'm not sure why that sheet is at the bottom of the list but you can move it by bringing up the sheet list dialog, clicking on the name to highlight it and click "MOVE UP" or "MOVE DOWN" to place it anywhere you want. The decision on where to put sheets is completely up to you and depends on your map and what makes sense for it.
I have noticed that when a sheet does not exist and a symbol or drawing tool specifies a sheet to place it on CC3+ has created that 'new' sheet at the bottom of the list. Perhaps this is what happened in your case.
The sheet to which a symbol is assigned or to which a drawing tool 'draws' can be changed if need be but you probably don't need to do that. Just move the sheet.
Hope this helps.

Thanks again for the help. I knew I was missing something, but was wasting time looking in the layers. /facepalm
