Hill fort/motte-and-bailey example

Okay, so I don't know how/why, but my map doesn't allow me to create a 20-foot wide smooth curved path with switchbacks. There's no default tools available in either the base CC3, CD3 or CD3 tools. Can someone help me figure out how to add this (e.g. is this something to do with the software, or is it just user error/lack of skill for creating tools)?

You should be able to do this with the standard Smooth Path tool.

Do I need to change the width of the path to match my desired route and that's it? If so, great. I thought it was going to be more complex.

You'll need to set sheet, layer, fill style and width. You can either set these using the indicators on the status bar before drawing, or change your path afterwards using change properties.

Note that if you are going to need this configuration multiple times, you can also make your own drawing tool for it (Details for this is in the manual), but for a one-off, just using a basic tool is simpler.
