Professional Tile Printing

So I'm thinking of going to a professional game printer to print out my battle tiles. The biggest problem is that I can find no one that does either 6 inch squares, or my 7 inch wide Hex Tiles . I absolutely want a hex grid on my tiles as I use them for GURPS.

I've printed them myself on photo paper but I find that they don't hold up to constant use and the ink starts to chip and flake off. So I decided to look for a professional printer that could print them on chipboard. My other reasoning for using a game printer would be to get game pieces or Chits, and playing cards to use as well. However NO ONE does 1 inch hexes. It's all like 1.25 x 1.08 inches or 1.19 inch, 1.5 inch.

So if anyone knows of a game printer that can do 1 inch hex chits/tokens please let me know!

  • I am a little confused,

If you can place the hexes and grids on the maps using CC3/CC3+, then don't all you need is for somebody to print the image?\

    Just wondering.

  • color laser printer plus the right paper works awesome

I use coverstock paper myself it holds up well and it works on a normal laser printer without buckling.
  • Well I don't have a laser printer so it would just be cheaper to get them professionally printed. I did use coverstock but it's not a good looking as photo paper and every photo paper does not stand up to having miniatures placed on them once or twice a week. I'm not talking kinkos or a poster printers but a company that will print game boards and counters so this stuff is made to be handled on a weekly basis. It's more than someone printing the image as the counters and boards come in pre cut sets.
  • I can print up to 42 inches wide on photo paper. You can take those prints and have them laminated or I can get them laminated for you as well. Let me know if you're interested and we can talk more.
