How do you get a nice blend for a shoreline like this:

The dirt at the edge of the water is a separate polygon, extending beneath the water, while the water itself uses blur and transparency effects to blend together. There are also multiple water polygons in increasing darkness.

Do you have the Annual Volume 1? It contains that map and a sheet & effects guide that explains how it is set up. It's the March issue.

I don't have anything but the big three right now. I'm a major noob at CC.

I think I figured out how to do it; it's just going to take time to get the technique right.
