shadows with SS3?

Yet another "how do I...?" from me, I'm afraid.

I want to put shadows in a floorplan using both groups of symbols (not the blueprint set) as well as some symbols from SS4 but when I try to do it via SS4 CC3 locks up and shuts down.

Is there a way round this?

Setting up shadows in an SS3 floorplan should be the exact same as setting it up in a DD3 dungeon. What symbols you are using shouldn't affect this at all.
I assume it is the 'lighted dungeon' type of shadows you are setting up here, and not the simpler 'wall shadow' effect? If so, when exactly does CC3 crash?

Hi @Monsen,

I've got 30-odd symbols, a mix of A & B in Floorplans and Schley Dungeon set (SS4). I've got a horrible feeling the file was created as an SS4 dungeon, dont know why, but every time I've tried any kind of shadow, CC3 crashes within moments of my clicking OK.

That's weird. Doesn't sound like you have a particularly complicated map or anything. I assume you have successfully used shadows before on other maps?

A couple, @Monsen. Have only been mapping for about 6 months and 5 of those were wresting with a geographical map of an area, using only what symbols I had in CC3+.

I would need the .fcw file itself so I can actually check it for problems. Also, it would be helpful if you could give me a short description of exactly what kind of shadows you are applying, and on which sheets, so I can try to retrace your steps.
