Jonathan Roberts terrains issue

It has been a while since I have tried creating any maps, but recently got the bug to do so. So, I started by purchasing the annual with the Jonathan Roberts Overland in it, having really like the symbols and textures (especially the farmland texture!). The problem I am having is that the textures/terrains are coming out as solid colors only. Confused, I downloaded the CC3 version of the "Dungeonslayers – The Free Lands" map to see if I was missing something. Long story short, they look fine in the "Dungeonslayers – The Free Lands," but are seen only in solid colors on my map.

I would have added the two terrain window images, but I could not figure out how to do so.

Any suggestions?

Did you use a proper Jonathan Roberts overland template when you started your map? Solid colors instead of proper fill styles is usually a result of trying to use drawing tools on a different template than they were mad for.

Thank you. I did restart my map using the JR template just before reading this, and they seem to be working fine. I had started my original map in a template I created a few years back. Now I just have to figure out how to scale them to match my 100 x 100 map . . . they are very small.

You can set the default symbol scales from the Map Properties dialog (Button on topmost toolbar). (Remember to use 'Set Normal' on the first symbol after this).
Fill styles can be scaled by clicking the Fill style indicator to the top left, choosing the bitmap files tab, selecting the correct fill and changing the values under 'scaled'.

Thanks for your help. The most difficult part of map making is finding the time . . . I hate wasting it trying to figure things out.
