Questions regarding Exporting to PNG

Hello all. I'm using CC+ to draw a quick dungeon using SS4.

I've watched various videos regarding exporting maps to PNG and all my maps are showing significant distortion (Joe Sweeny and this: ).

Perhaps I'm doing it incorrectly, but I'm almost certain something else is happening.

My map is 105'x86' (5 ft squares, no border). When I export it to PNG (using both save as png and rectangular png at 1470x1204 pixels) the Schley items become very distorted. Watching the video from Jason Hibdon, I noticed he barely has any distortion at all.

Can anyone tell me what I'm doing incorrectly? Attached is my map in FCW.

    Gday.
I downloaded your FCW and saved the whole thing as a PNG with image dimensions of 9000 x 9000 and it seemed to work ok. Took I think 28 scans to do it, but got there with no crashes. The screen shot shows the settings I used. I normally print as a PDF rather than save to PNG, but from the little I have played around with PNG's or JPG's, 9000 x 9000 is about the highest I could go before the program reaches it's limit. Maybe try to increase your dimensions a bit if you were trying less than what I used. With more resolution you should get a better image.
  • Wow, 9000x9000 is massive! I was hoping to keep it small(ish) to use on roll20 but I'll take what I can get.

I'll try these settings and see about doing post-processing so it will be VTT friendly.

    Thanks! :)
  • Yeah you probably dont have to go that big :) .I'm trying to wrap my head around MapTool, another VTT and after making a map with a high resolution I shrink it down with photoshop to 3000 wide otherwise Maptool doesnt like it.
