FT3 Export Sugggestions
After using the Multiple File Export Utility I've got a few suggestions:
1) Don't use a Hard Path for image location:
You are putting in a Hard Path for Jpeg images.
If I want to move this to a Web site, I will have to edit each HTML files and remove the Hart path.
As long as the images are in the same folder just the name of the image will work.
2) Map and Tile name in Webpage Title:
It would be great if you could Set a World Name and have the Image Number appended to this for Page Title, instead of all of them being Named "Untitled-1"
It would also be nice to have a the Title appear to the right of the CC2 Button (Which should be changed to just CC or How about just the CC Base icon.)
3) Instead of a Percentage, use a Pixel overlap:
A percentage over lap sounds easier, but not really, when you try ti mate the files together.
4) Recheck your Math:
I am not sure how a but my 1200 x 647 image maps tohas one corner at 56x51 and the opposite corner at 1144 x 595?
I would expect these to be 0 x 0 and 1200 x 647.
5) Select View to export:
You have basic view which seems to be a small box in the middle of the view pane not the whole pane.
How about giving us the ability to set the View we want to export?
6) FWC Link Back Button:
While building the FCW files why not build a navigation button into onto the sub maps to take you back to the previous level of Map.
7) Distances
Seeing there is a distance tool, would it be possible to give us the horizontal and vertical Distances the image covers?
This would be better then a meaning less Scale Bar, which is always 0-200, but is never scaled to the image?
8) Be able to The Base Vertical and Horizontal Image size:
With a little pre-calculation, you could make sure you don't have Fractions of a Pixel.
9) Alternate tile mode.
This mode would make Square Sections based on X number of Sections Tall.
This would be useful for the next Suggestion.
10) Export Normal and Bump Maps for the sections.
It would be great to have the Normal and Bump Maps exported for the sections.
Suggestions 9 and 10 would make make allow the creation terrain in products like Bryce or DAZ Studio INFINITO.
Infinito would allow you to crate actual geometry, to be used int he 3D application.
This would expand the use of FT3.
These would be great addition to the export tool.
