Color of Lava
I am attempting to put a 'river' of lava on the map coming from one of the volcano symbols. I am choosing to use 'River, Wide' because I want the lava to flow like a river (winding). I choose the drawing tool and then changed the 'color' to a deep red but the river still comes out as 'blue'. I then edited the properties and tried to change the color (which was red) but still the river is blue.
How can I make a river red, not blue?
I am using CC3+

Your river is probably made of a bitmap fill style wich means changing its color won't affect it. The color parameter is only used for hatch patterns, hatch patterns and some symbol fills.
I see three solutions:
1. Clone and edit the bitmap file.
a. identify the fill style used for you river by using the Info->LIST command on the river.
If you are using the standard CC3 overland, this should be Water lightest bitmap fill style.
b. identify the bitmap file used for the river by clicking on the Fill style indicator (FS: whatever box at the top right of your screen), the Bitmap fill tab, scrolling down, selecting the fill style from a. and reading the .
If you are using the standard CC3 overland, this should be @Bitmaps\Tiles\Overland\water lightest_HI.PNG
c. means your ApplicationData/Profantasy/CC3Plus folder or equivalent on your system. Use the file manager to navigate to the sub-folder indicated at step b. and right-click on the png file. Open it with a picture editor like GIMP, PhotoShop or PhotoFilter.
d. Save it as (or export as with GIMP) a new file. Change the hue and perhaps the saturation and or lightness then save again. Close the picture editor and go back to CC3+.
e. Click on the New button of the fill style dialog left opened at step b.. Give a name to the new style like River, Lava then click on the Find button and select your cloned picture from step d.. Click on OK twice to leave the fill style dialog.
f. Use the Edit properties command to change the Fill style of your river.
2. Create a new sheet and use the RGB matrix process effect
a. Click on the Sheet Indicator (S: whatever box at the top of your screen) and on the left side Add button. Type a new sheet name like RIVERS, LAVA. Use the Move up button to place the sheet just below the RIVERS sheet.
b. Check the Activate Sheet Effects check box then click on the right-side Add button. Choose RGB matrix process effect and set the parameters as shown below.
c. Right-click on the Move button and choose Move to sheet. Select you river, right-click do it and when the pop up dialog appears choose the new sheet from a..
3. Change the fill style of your river and set it to Solid.
1. Draw the river
2. Click "Change Properties" and select the river. Right-click, Do It.
3. Change fill style to "Solid" and Color to Red.
4. Click Ok.

Do a search for lava, download the excellent lava textures (fill patterns) available there und use them instead.
