The Scale Bar does not change from 200 miles

Just installed the latest version of CC3, haven't decided yet whether I want to upgrade to CC3+ yet. I tried doing several maps in Fractal Terrains and exporting them to CC3. Everything seems to work (as far as I can tell as a beginner) but the scale bar always shows 200 miles, even on submaps on a multiple maps export.

Is this some kind of bug? Is there some option I have to check for it to recognize the Fractal Terrains scale correctly? Or is it some bug that was fixed in CC3+? (hoping it was the last, would give me incentive to do the upgrade).

Sorry but I cant help you... There is a long time that just use fractal to generate fractals that I export to CC3.

Thanks the terrain isn't the problem, for some reason the scale values aren't interpreted by CC3+ coming out of FT. I saw a tutorial where it seemed to work right and can't figure out if I'm in a dead spot between upgrades where the bug appeared and might have been fixed in CC3+.

Does it also occur in CC3? After all FT3 is still in the pending list of adds-ons/softwares that need to be upgrated to be CC3+ compatible.

I remember a discusion some time back that ft3 and CC3 disagree on scale.

So if I upgrade from CC3 to CC3+ this may solve that problem? I have a $30 dollar upgrade offer, just was leery of upgrading because supposedly Cosmographer doesn't quite work right with CC3+ yet, but if the scale thing is a CC3 problem, I might go ahead and do it, I haven't used Cosmographer much lately and would rather CC3 work right.

I think the problem is with a bug in FT3, so an upgrade to CC3+ will not fix this.

The only solution that I know of is to export from FT3 without a scale bar then add one of proper scale in CC3.

There are scale bars and compass roses in several of the overland symbol sets.

Don't use the template to place symbols - Place a scale during the drawing when you will be able to enter any value you choose. Once it's placed, it's set - only replacing it with a new one will allow you to set a new scale value.

Not sure what you mean about not using templates to place symbols, but placing scale during the drawing, Gromek. Could you elaborate for a simpleton like me.
