Erase/Change Properties No Effect

Hello there,

I feel like I am missing something, but I've tried to find my answer in the forum, and in the user guide. Nothing so far.

I have created some landmasses using the Overland Mike Schley style. Specifically, I created some landmasses with the Land, Smooth tool. I realized after making them that I do not want the dark green outline that is created with the landmass. So, I tried erasing it. I select erase tool, click on an outline - it turns pink, and then I right-click and choose Do It. The outline turns white. When I click on Redraw the outline shows up - it hasn't been erased.

I checked to see if the outline's layer was frozen. Nope.

I tried changing the outline color by using the change properties tool. This results in no change to the outline.

Any ideas? Am I going to smack my head when I find out what I am doing wrong?

Thanks for helping me,
Damon

It's hard for me to visualize what might be going on without seeing what else is on your map, but a general strategy is to to hide sheets and reveal them. I'd hide everything, then unhide a sheet one at a time (make sure you hide all the other sheets each time), looking at the map between each cycle. Is everything where you expect it to be? You might even have two copies of your landmass on different sheets.

And yes, you will of course smack your head. There's plenty of head smackin' around these parts.
  • Thanks Seycyrus, that did the trick. I hadn't checked enough sheets. I was checking the Layers.
