I was just wondering if anyone has any suggestions for drawing a map of a dwarf city. I found a post from 2010, but the links don't work. I have CC3+, DD3, and CD3.
Hmm... Tolkein had grand halls, large entrances, carved walls and columns, large stone staircases, in Moria.
I haven't seen any fantasy dwarf surface cities. I made one for my 1E AD&D campaign, essentially a large city, with a number of stone buildings. Lot of stone towers for defense.
Yeah I guess I don't know exactly what I am asking. When I envision a dwarf city I picture Moria or Mithril Hall. I guess it would be a big dungeon. That's why I figured I ask if anyone else has drawn a dwarf city or has some thoughts on what to use. Maybe I could bring some CD3 symbols into DD3.
Well, if you are going with a Moria look then yea JimP has you on the right track.
As an alternative, i have always kinda liked Orzamaar. The Dwarf city in the Dragon Age games. It seems a lil smaller and a bit more claustrophobic, but also i think it gives you a better impression of being in a cavern as opposed to a very large building or structure.
