Taking a Section of a Map and Enlarging It

This is my first day using the Cartographer 3 software (or any software from here). I made a map that I really like, but I would like to take a section of it, put that section in a new map, and enlarge it so I can add in more, tiny details. Is that possible? I've looked in the PDF guide and tutorials, but didn't find anything. (Maybe I missed it?) Thanks!

"I" find the easiest method to be zooming in on the area to be detailed on the big map, exporting the view as a png image, inserting that into a new map of the proper scale (if the area was 50 miles across, create a new map 50 miles across) and using that inserted picture as a background to trace on.
