I'm using CC3+ and under fill style properties the help menu says "smaller bitmap images can be tiled to produce a repeating effect." It doesn't say how to do that.
To tile a picture you check the Tile to fill radio button.
Or perhaps you think that CC3+ can take multiple images to create a repeating texture or that CC3+ can make the bitmaps seamless.
In fact the sentence you quote means that a picture smaller than the mapping area will be repeated to fill the area (if you check the radio button). Each fill style, or texture, is linked to a single picture. But if this picture is not seamless, it will show.
I read it as it would take multiple pictures and repeat them to make a seamless texture. So, I guess it doesn't do that. Would be highly useful if it did.
