Custom Dungeon Tiles Catalog?

Greetings Everyone.

I've recently picked up CC3 and I was trying to figure out if there was a way to create a Symbol Catalog out of tiles that I have created in CC3. I play using 2.5D Dungeon Tiles, so when building dungeons they are very regular in the components placed, and currently I either create a bunch of tiles on the map then copy the sections one at a time that I want to place in the Dungeon, or I just manually build it, but since each component is specific it would be much easier to build a catalog of the components and place them.

For instance, I use pieces such as a 3x2 Straight Corridor, a 3x1 Corridor, a Corner section, 2x2 Room with Door on the left, etc. Sort of like building big maps out of Battlemaps, but scaled down in scope a little.

Is there any easy or simple way to setup a catalog of these individual room pieces to use? Or am I doomed to copy and paste?

  • You can export each as a rectangular png, put the pngs all in the same folder, then open that folder and one of the files in it using the folder navigation button at the top of the symbol catalog. This will load all the files as symbols. When placed, these symbols will end up on the currently set Sheet and Layer.

You can also turn these pngs into a permanent catalog. Instructions can be found here.
