Adjusting FT3 climates in CC3 using terrains
I'm a bit new to the software and the forums. I've been searching around a bit and haven't found anything direct.
I have exported a view from a FT3 map into CC3. I've exported both altitude and climate contours. I'm looking to use CC3 to lay terrain in a style and placement consistent with the FT3 export. Ideally, I'd like a simple find and replace. Unfortunately I'm having trouble grasping the mechanics of the whole thing. I wouldn't mind hand drawing the terrains but it's important to me to keep the detail of the coastlines from FT3. Is there some sort of fill or find/replace that I can use? I appreciate your time.

In case anyone else is trying to do the same, it's probably easiest to do the below:
1. Export your view using the coastlines export template from ft3 into cc3.
2. In cc3, use the default sea terrain (it seems to be making a new sheet when common is selected).
2a. move the sea sheet on up to some sufficient level so the coastlines show.
3. In sheets, select auto hide and move to coastlines.
4. Use change properties on the left and grab the whole screen. Do it (read in your best starsky and hutch).
5. In the change properties dialog I selected "Land" from the dropdown (check auto appears) and "Land, light green" for the fill style. Hit ok.
bonus: I added a blur to the land sheet to simulate shallow water.
6. clean up unused and unnecessary sheets (actually not sure if this is a good idea but i like to be tidy).
good luck and godspeed. i hope you figure this out faster than me.
