Cutting out a part of a map

I am nearly done with my "Continent of Odrian" map for my fantasy world. I would like to focus in on some areas of that map once it's finished to further define certain areas. My map has four sections that are divided by natural boundries. I would like to focus on each one of them with dedicated maps. How can I cut out each section and create a new map from it? Or do I have to freehand each section from the original map?

How to trim a large map down to smaller map
1. Copy the relevant entites from your map to a new map, then use BREAK and CUT to remove the parts that extend outside the map border, and make the rest into a filled polygon again using path to poly [CLOSEPATH]. Use fractalise [FRX] to add additional detail.
2. Copy the relevant entities from your map to a new map, then use the trace functionality of most drawing tools to create new entities that match the outline of the old ones (The part inside your new map border), then delete the old entities.
3. Export the map as an image file, then import it into the background of the new map, and trace over it manually. Delete the imported image when done
There is a tracing tutorial in the CC3 manual that shows you how to do 2. (In the 'Editing with drawing tools' chapter), and there is a more detailed tutorial for the entire process in the Tome of Ultimate Mapping.
