Fractal Terrains map have strange white spots

I am trying to create visual images of worlds for a sci-fi story I'm working on. It looks like the best way to get an image from the program is to print it as a PDF. However when I do so and when I look at the world in the program there was these white spots that don't move and are always there. I've attached a PDF with the white spots. Anyone know what's causing it?

Those are Ice Caps that exist over water when the temperature is below 0F. Warm your planet up to remove all ice.

Those white spots are indeed ice caps, as NovaCameron points out. However, climate settings have no effect when you're using the Gaia shader; warming up the planet won't help, unless you also change the shader.
