How to remove Red X

I have a imported image file that I used to trace land. The original image is gone and can not be returned (not even sure what it was named). It appears as a red x over a white background and I do not know how to remove it. I can not hide it. I have no clue where it exists in this map or how to select it. Help.

To delete it, you should be able to select its edge like any other entity. Just make sure that you are only deleting the one entity by watching the number selected on the command line.
