Release of CC3+

So now that Gencon is over, can we order CC3+.
Did it release on Gencon?
I have CC (v1) and looks forward to buying CC3, but im waiting on CC3+
So any good news?

CC3+ was not released at GenCon.

I would assume they will announce a release date when they have firm knowledge to go by. Unfortunately, it was not ready by GenCon, despite the heroic efforts on their part.

I dont want to get the old CC3 if I cant get a free upgrade.

Yes, I think you have still to wait some more. Even as CA3 Purchaser with the free Upgrade to CC3+ haven't heard anything new about CC3+.
Last thin was the Blog entry from beginning july where they told from a possible release on GenCon and maybe an alpha for CA3 purchasers who entitled for a free Upgrade.

What about the alpha version for those who will get the free upgrade for purchasing CA3?

You want to be careful with alpha versions. Depending on the nature of the change, it could corrupt a map file. My guess is that they want it as close to release with all the bad bugs taken care of before releasing that early version. I will wait until the full release before installing it.

I agree with you on the risks with alphas. I just want to get my hands on the software and there was mention that an alpha would be available. I'm content with waiting for the commercial release. I didn't want to miss out on an opportunity. Any updates would be great.
