Commercial Applications (& Caverns)
Hello all. I've read through the terms of service for the CC and found the part about using the images for commercial applications.
It specifically mentions "board games" as a no-no, but why is that? What if the board is incidental? For instance, I'm developing a dungeon exploration game I plan to publish and sell where the dungeon is revealed bit-by-bit via drawing randomized "dungeon tiles" from a deck. Based on mechanics, this is really a dice/card game. The rooms and hallways printed on the tiles are mostly just for background flavor and a visual representation of progress.
Could anyone speak as to whether such a use for my CC maps would be frowned upon? Please, I'd appreciate more than just a "yeah that's fine" or "no way that's not allowed". It is hard to just accept something like that if it doesn't come with some sort of explanation...
...
Also, on a different note: Has anyone released a cavern art pack? If not, is anything from ProFantasy expected in that vein?
Thanks in advance for any info.
