Trouble Making Lakes in CC3

CAUTION: New user post.

I'm trying to build a lake and river system that will supply my central city with fresh water but every time I add a "Mountain Tower" symbol to it, the water disappears. I've been using the "Default Sea" tool to make my lake.

What am I doing wrong?

    The problem is that the Default Sea tool will put your lake behind the landmass. As soon as CC3 redraws, your lake gets hidden behind it. Which style are you using? If it's the CC3 default overland style, right-click the River button and choose "River, Lake" as your tool. This should put a lake on the river sheet where it remains visible.
