Adding Hatching to an existing house

If I placed a house symbol with the Random Street tool and wanted to go back and add the hatching to that house, is there a way I can do that?

No, sorry. If I were solving the problem, I'd make a file and put in a house with hatching and another without hatching, then look at them to figure out what sheet & layer the hatching was on, and then try manually adding it to the unhatched house.

One of the great things about CC3's design is pretty much everything can be done manually once you see what is happening. And seeing what it happening is pretty easy with List coupled with hiding layers and Sheets.

Good luck, and fill us in (!) with what you discover -- or if your discovery takes you to a specific question (which hopefully we can answer).

That was a good clue, the hatching is not on a separate sheet but actually in a separate layer. But that still doesn't let me know if there is a way to turn the hatching on for an existing house?

Still looking, any help would be great.

No, hatching can only be added when creating a house, not afterwards. I think the easiest way would be to draw a new house (with hatching) over the old one, then deleting the old one.

I looked in the Tome. Make a hatching drawing. Export as png. Go to Symbol Manager menu top of CC3. Import png towards the bottom of that menu.

While I've never done it, it looks easy.
