CC3: Customizing the Color Bar

I find that the CC3 color bar has a number of colors that I never use and lacks several that I use regularly. I've searched Remy's Tome and the help files for an answer, but I found none. Is there any way to customize the content of the color bar?

You can make a custom palette. After you swap out the colors with the ones you want, you will need to attach it to the current drawing (CC3 file) if you want it to stay between sessions:

Edit: Never mind, you're talking about the optional color bar toolbar.

Right. I know how to make a palette, and I know how to get the colors I want, but if I could put them into the color toolbar, it would be more convenient. If it can't be done, I'll survive.

No, I can't be done without coding work inside CC3. To be honest, I don't use the Color Bar at all (have it turned off), I always go directly through the Color Dialog.

Thanks, Ralf, but actually, your answer isn't correct. Jaerdaph was on the right trail and tweaked an old memory from CC2 days. It's easy to change the colors in the color bar. I just forgot how to do it.

1) Click the color in the color bar that you want to change.

2) Open the color dialog.

3) Change the color there to the one that you want.

4) Save it as a custom palette.

5) When you load the custom palette, the color bar takes on your color definitions.

Ah, yes, I misunderstood. I thought you meant to change the color ID the square on the color bar links to (i.e. making the second square link to color 110 instead of color 1).

If you change the color palette, those changes will indeed be reflected on the color bar.

wow, that's fantastic. I didn't realize that color palette changes affected the color bar. that makes the color bar much more useful!

Exactly! That's why I posed the question. If the colors that one uses regularly are in the color bar, one can work faster than when one needs to keep opening the color dialog box.

Hello Everyone, I am using CC3+ where do I find the color bar? I would like one for the contours I am putting on the map.
