I need help with a 3D star/globular cluster template for Cosmo

I was wondering if anyone had a had or knew where I could get a Cosmographer 3 template for a star cluster, or globular cluter ?

I want to add some open cluster and globular cluster maps to my Traveler site.

Edit: I made a template... and its awful. I've attached the png to this post. I'll attach the template further down.

I used Ortho and traced over a 3d map I found. It looks awful. Please help.

I am going to try making a Sector map for each 'level' of the open star cluster. I took one Sector template and using different color circles, made a master star cluster 'chart' as a guide to the 5 'layers' I'll be making. Over 300 stars in this cluster.

This method doesn't give much of a 3D look though.

Nope.

a set of flattened hexes for level A on the star cluster.
a set of flattened hexes for level B on the star cluster.
a set of flattened hexes for level C on the star cluster.
a set of flattened hexes for level D on the star cluster.
a set of flattened hexes for level E on the star cluster.

All on the same template page. Here is a png of the template I've done so far. I'm no artist and I couldn't get Ortho to work for straight horizontal lines.

Okay, I understand what you are trying. I tried that too when I first did the cutout section of the map I shared. It looked awful, cluttered and confusing, so I modified it a bit to what you see now. There is a hex grid in the cutout it's just faint. I found keeping the grid on what would be the galactic plane and indicating +/- Z with just an outline looked best.

Well, I took the pdf of the vertical sub-sector, imported it into EuroOffice2012, it showed as a nice one page drawing. Screen shot, saved as png, imported into CC3.

I probably made my lines too thin in the above. Not sure when I'll complete this, but I'll share it here when I get it done. The template will have 5 sets of flattened hexes. A through E, but if someone could come up with a template for layers A through F I would be grateful.
