Problems with Fonts from Annuals Installing in Windows 8.1

Hey everyone, Happy New Year!
Here's a problem I've been having when installing annuals since I got a new Windows 8 (now running Windows 8.1) last April. After installing an annual (using Run As Administrator), any new fonts included in the annual do not show up in CC3 when I open the annual sample map. I've tried rebooting and reopening, still no luck. As a workaround, I have to go into the annual sample maps and using the List command on included text figure out the names of the new fonts (I usually know many new fonts to look for from the readme text file included with each annual). I then go into the CC3 fonts directory, copy those fonts and paste them into the Windows font folder. Windows tells me the fonts are already installed, so I select copy anyway to overwrite whatever is there (I can never see them). When I go back into the CC3 annual map, the fonts are now visible.
OS: Windows 8.1
CC3 Version: 3.43
I have a partitioned hard drive with C: and
drives. CC3 lives at \Profantasy\CC3
CC3, all add-ons, and annuals installed as Administrator
I just thought I'd share this in case there is something I'm missing or if something can be done to improve the font install. Thanks!

I had some problems with fonts from Annuals and CC3 products awhile back and ended up contacting Microsoft and doing a good bit of research on the problem.
See this thread and read the posts I made in it as I made a very long post in that thread explaining several things to be aware of with fonts and things to do so they install correctly and not cause problems.
