Outline After Drawing

Is there a way to change the outline, either of an entity on a layer or of a whole layer, after the entity has been drawn?
Specific example: I am creating an electronic version of an old hand-drawn map, which is centered around an inland sea (think something like the Mediterranean, except on an east coast rather a west coast.

I did this by starting with a land map and drawing the contours of the sea on the Sea layer, with the default sea command, carefully eyeballing my old map and futzing with fractalization until I got something that looks right. What I forgot to do was use the Advanced setting to add an outline to the sea from the start. Thus, my current outline has a direct green-blue interface, with no black outline.

Is there any way I can either turn on the black outline?

(I would also accept faking the outline with something like a very thin black glow, but with this set-up I haven't been able to get any glows to show up at the land-sea interface, no matter what layer I put them on. I am confused.)

Sounds like a job for the Outline in Black button image ! By default, it's on the right-hand side between the Box and Circle buttons.

Click it, select the entity (or entities) that you want to outline, then right-click and Do It!

Alternatively, you can right-click the Outline in Black button and select Outline in current color from the pop-up. This will, er, outline the entities in the currently-selected color.

    I hope that helps!

  • Yes, that was exactly what I needed!
    Thanks!

(As one might infer, I am new at this. I am finding the learning curve to be fairly manageable, though. Now that I understand the difference between layers and sheets, my proficiency is expanding rapidly.)

You're welcome, Humblest. Welcome to CC3 and the ProFantasy forums.

A good deal of what I know about CC3 came from the community. I'm happy for the chance to pay something forward every now and then!

    Cheers,
