generic city symbols

I see a number of city maps where the buildings are simple 'blob' shapes of color rather than the detailed symbols I seem to have in my sets. Am I missing something or is there an addon set I need to purchase?

    I am not sure exactly what you are referring to here. Can you provide a link to an example?

    If it is something from an annual, you should also be able to identify it by looking at the Gallery pages of the various annuals.

    Hi rgrove0172. I take it you mean something like Joachim de Ravenbel's awesome Gweddyz map? I think those are simply shapes that people draw to represent city blocks, rather than place down individual buildings. Or, in the case of the map I just linked to, the cartographer did place individual houses, but then traced them to create the polygons. I don't believe they are symbols or anything special that you might have missed.
