Problem with default terrain fills

I was checking out all of the various terrain default forest styles on one map when something went wrong. For many of the choices the plain background colour has been put on top of the tree symbols. For some of them this is a transparent darker green which makes it so that the symbols in that set don't match. On at least one I tried changing the colour and got an opaque shade instead which covers 99% of the symbols. I've learned that I can erase this colour by using the erase tool, I can change it, usually to something worse but I can't get it to go back to what it originally was underneath the trees.

I've attached a screen shot showing what I'm getting. First is the SS1 fantasy mixed forest which seems to work properly. Second is the SS1 pine forest which has the opaque colour blocking everything. Third is the SS1 deciduous forest which has a translucent shadow covering things.

Any ideas what I did to cause this and how can I get things back to normal?

Hm, there is indeed an error in the Deciduous Forest drawing tool for that style, but the Coniferopus Forest is fine for me. Too fix this, do the following:

    - Start a new map based on the SS1 Fantasy Color style.
    - Click the "All Drawing Tools" button and click "Advanced".
    - Select the "Terrain Default, Forest Decid" drawing tool in the list
    - Click "Properties" and change the sheet entry from "FORESTS*" to "LAND FEATURES*"
    - Choose the "Solid" fill style for "Use fill style".
    - Click "Ok" and "Save" the tool

Do the same for "Terrain Default, Forest Conif" if necessary. Test the tools on the current map whether they work properly again.
