Confused with scale

Hello all,

After different tries, I thought I had figured out about the scale of things in Campaign Cartographer. I'm sorry for the people using the imperial, but I will use the metric, since it's the one I'm using every day.

So, after having switched to the metric system, and modified my grid to a 3m by 3m (3 snaps, 1 unit for spacing), I make a quick test : I use the tool that allows me to see the dimension, and I click on to adjacent points on the grid. The result confirms me that I have a grid where all the points are separated by 1 meter. So far so good.

I start then designing the walls for what will become the rooms. I design them so they are looking normally sized (4X5m) I make 10 of them. Small test again with the distance tool : normally, my total length at this moment should be 40, which it is (confirmed by the tool). So, length of 40m.

Since I'm having a problem with scale, I try to insert a bed, and be sure to have a ratio of 1 (I've read on the website that the symbols are scaled to the measure system used. )

As you can see, I have a problem here... I know I can scale it down, but then the symbols wouldn't be on the right scale (and I'm having problem with scales).

I suppose that once more, it is a feet to metric problem. I suppose, but am not sure that I should put a scale of 0.3048 for the symbols to have them in meters and not in feet ?

Thanks once more guys !
