New city - john roberts style

After seeing Greneborg I wanted to do a city again in this style.
Just the typical problems with the ocean again.

  • Just looks like a fade distance issue to me. You should play with that.

It looks really nice when you zoom in but it looks astounding when it's zoomed out!

But does anyone know a way of "fixing" the ocean in gimp or photoshop? Like select ocean and randomize or something?
How can I take the sea from another annual?
  • You can always do the ocean a single color and select and edit it in PS.

    1. Click on the Fill Style Indicator (top right small rectangle with FS : .... text)
    2. Click on the Bitmap Fill tag
    3. There is a small rectangle preview (not the square one below) of the first bitmap fill style. To the left is the name, to the right a small button with a "v" on it. Click this button then scroll down to select the fill style to modify (click on it).
    4. Click on the Find button.
    5. Browse the CC3\Bitmaps\Tile\Maps folder or the CC3\Annuals folder to select a new picture. You might need to adapt the Width and Height values.
    6. Close the Fill Style Properties popup by clicking OK.
Repeat for all the Ocean fill styles (looks like you have more than one).

Alternatively, you could perhaps just try to scale up the fill styles by changing the Width and Height values (just use steps 1-3 above then 6 after editing the valeurs).

This is a great map! Love it.
