Question about the Random Street Command in CD3

I created some blocks of buildings using the Random Street command.

However when I decided to delete a few and maybe replace them with some house symbols I was unable to do anything with them.

I couldn't delete them or get properties. When I tried the erase tool it was asking for a layer dialog and no matter which layer I chose the building wouldn't erase.

Is there some kind of limitation on the Random Street command?

How can I manipulate and modify these after they are put down?

Hello ADR, the short answer is that you shouldn't have any problem deleting the houses you have added with the random street tool.
Now the longer one. Whenever I make my city maps I use the random street tool a lot, nearly all houses are added with it. Of course when you use it a lot of the houses end up in the wrong place and what I do is selecting the delete tool marking the houses and then right click with the mouse and select do it from the drp down menu. That should be all, but if you forget the do it step you wont get rid of your houses.

This happens because somehow you have been stuck in the wrong selection mode. This is fixed simply by typing SELBYD on the CC3 command line, or go to Tools -> Options -> Select Method -> Dialog or Popup. After doing this, the tools should behave normally selection-wise.
