Duplicate it to the same map or to a different map? Do you want an exact duplicate that you can then edit?
On the same map, you can just copy everything to a different location on the map.
Click the Copy button .
Click up and to the left of the floor you mapped, as if you were going to drag a square around it.
Click the bottom-right of a square, where you would have dragged if you were dragging. Note: CC3 doesn't usually need you to drag, you can usually just click upper-left and then click lower-right. However, if that doesn't work, try dragging.
Check that everything you want to copy is selected.
Right-click and select Do it from the pop-up menu.
Click somewhere in the middle of your map to choose a "copy from" point.
Move your mouse/cursor to an empty location of the map (you may have to zoom out). You should see an outline of the copied entities attached to your cursor.
When the outline is where you want the copy to be, click the mouse again.
If you want to make another copy, it should still be "attached" to the cursor so you can just move to another part of the map and click again.
When you're done making copies, right-click.
To duplicate it to a different map, the EASIEST way would be to save your map with a different filename!
I hope that's at least somewhat helpful... ~Dogtag
Wow, you guys are geniuses! I've just been trying to refine my floorplan and an inner stroreroom needs a corner but I'm having a dog of a time placing it. Meanwhile my slavedriver will be here soon for Bible study.
Well, I just got back online, so this is a bear of a a job. Work, work, more work and my fiance is sick of me sitting at this wundermachine WIN 7 (at least in many people's opinion) but I still plug away at it. Polyhedron Games LLC is still a fledgling albatross and I'm busy working on Polyhedracon d4-3 as a sick old man. This is damned hard work for a man who can't even remember what day it is, trying to take care of a ditz of a fiances and three dogs, two crazy, in a giant house with two morons taking care of it. Better get off this contraption before the yelling commences!
It's nearly 3AM, can't sleep, fiance be damned! I'm trying to "age" my city, make it look abandoned and hit on covering each building with lines, color 42 and 132 with the leaves pattern. Look is decent but it's too damned tedious. Gotta be ab easier way. I'll let you guys take a look. I have a nicely done building to the southwest when I was experimenting. Guess I'll work on my key.
Well, not getting much help here, but I noticed an error in the map name and corrected it. A suggestion: Enable the mouse to scroll on the canvas. Gotta go eat.

At least you should be able to copy paste it between buildings. You'll need a couple of different version, but you should be able to do quite a bit of copy/paste as well. One hint though, make sure to place your vines on a separate sheet. I noticed they were currently on the Roads sheet. If you put them on a separate sheet (Make a new sheet for them), you can use sheet effects on them, such as glow and blur to make them look better.

Looked in the books and downloads I have and managed to lose a nice set of vines when I tried to c&p. I selected "copy" then selected the two vines I had, went to the next bldg. selected "paste" and my vines disappeared! How do I c&p?
Don't think I'm cut out for this. Managed to figure out c&p and my vines are on an "OVERGROWTH" sheet, "VEGETATION" layer and the sheet is above the "BUILDINGS" sheet but I can't get the vines on top of the buildings.
I've decided my vines were overdone. It's going to take a bit of forever for me to get this right. Now I have to go vacuum.

If you do a clipboard copy, pay close attention to the command line. In addition to the normal "Do It" after selecting the items, CC3 will also ask you for the clipboard origin. For simple copy and paste, just click a spot in the center of the entities you are trying to copy. If you fail to do this step, nothing will be copied to the clipboard. (This step might seem to overcomplicate things for simple copy and paste, but it is extremely helpful when you need precise control and exact positiong)

When you copy and paste, make sure that the copy does indeed end up on the right sheet (Check with the LIST command). Also, you say the sheet is above the BUILDINGS sheet. Remember that CC3 draws the sheet from the topmost to the bottommost sheet, so for a sheet to appear above another sheet, it must actually be below it in the list. The sheets at the very bottom of the list is the ones that ends up at the very top of the drawing.
Gah! I'm no cartographer, that's for sure. Just dinkin' around tryin' to place vines and I have 2 varieties. Using c&p, even tho I picked 2 entities, it only pasted one. So then I redrew the 2 on separate bldgs thinking I could c&p them separately. Instead, I have the original vine on my clipboard. So frustrating!
Are you using copy/ paste from the drop down menu or using the copy icon( it has 4 blue squares) The drop down one does act weird for me. Right click on the copy icon and you will see a lot of great copy choices.
STREETLOAD is the command that loads in the settings for houses for the random street command. if you see the command line saying 'Command [STREETLOAD]:' it just means that this is the last command that were executed, and that if you left-click in your map (without activating another command first), this command will be repeated.
