Mmmmm.... I'm not sure what happened with my link, I used to see it correctly, but when reloading the page this morning, it had vanished... I made some changes, please tell me if it works now...
Still seems to be a problem with your link. The thumbnail shows up, but if I click the thumbnail to try to get a full-size version, I get a 403 - Forbidden error from Google, so it seems to be a permission issue. When including images from online storage with sharing options (like google drive here), I always recommend testing in an alternate browser, where you are NOT logged in to the site in question (make sure you are not). This helps you see the result as everyone else would see them, which is very helpfull, since working for the owner of the image doesn't necessary mean it works for others.
Attaching the .fcw is a great way for people to see it, but unfortunately, since it contains Annual Content, not everyone will be able to load it up properly. While I love have the .fcw available, don't forget you can also upload an image file straight to the forum as well, and avoid the potential problems with image hosting setup. Just remember to keep it within the size set in the guidelines (800px wide max)
I like the map. It flows organically and is not overloaded. The buildings stand a bit out at this size and I think there's a bit much text on it. It will look better with the correct font (Like Monsen I was only able to look at the fcw file), but it's still a bit much. If you want it to look like a hand-drawn treasure map, I would choose a font that looks more like scribbles or at least hand-written script. Not sure what to do about the buildings. These look fine on most black-and-white maps, but here they feel a bit wrong. Hopefully there'll be more B/W structures in the future annuals.

Oups, I screwed up again... Now I hope I've corrected it at last...
I'm back from my role-playing session, the children enjoyed it, and their parents too. They were really afraid to find a real monster in the middle of the archipelago
I agree the buildings don't really fit with this style, but I did not like the symbols provided with the style, they we much too "symbolic". For the text, maybe I should have designed the map as if it had been done in two phases: At first, a map drawn by a mapmaker, with only the names for locations with an official name (and a classical font, in one colour), then annotations by the last owner of the map, with another font, less structured, and another colour. I would have used the font Treasure map deadhand, but it is not compatible with accents...

I'm eager to see your first map, but I think you forgot to upload a picture or include a link! ;-)
