Raising a flat world
I'm trying to recreate a world I have a picture of for a project, and I'm looking at the best way to go about it.
Right now I've started with a flat world, and used the freehand select tool to outline the continents, then used the Paint Raise with a fixed value (10m) to paint in the landmasses I am making.
Now the picture I'm going from has very little in the way of altitude details, leaving me free. So is there any way to randomly raise/bump/roughen/etc the landmasses I have painted into something like the world generator continents puts out? Or do I really need to handpaint it to raise it up? (I have a copy of the excellent tutorial jslayton made in case I wanna go that route).
(ignore the black lines on the map, thats why I have to recreate that continent :) )
