Fonts & Text in CC3

I have tried to change Text Properties and while I can change things like Height, Spacing, etc. it will NOT let me change the Font. There is no font selected in the List, though it does use Arial, and there is no ability to change the Font. I can click on a font name, but nothing happens (the font is not highlighted). I have tried everything I can think of to change the font without any luck.

Also I have gone into the sheet and set Drop Shadow for Text, but I also have some other text that I don't want to have Drop Shadow -- how do I set them up differently?

    Is your CC3 patched up to the latest version (Currently 3.42, accomplished by installing update 10) [Check your version from Help -> About]. I vaguely remember that being an issue long ago, but haven't heard about it in years. Also, if there simply are no fonts in the list at all, you may try to add fonts to the list by clicking More Fonts, then select the font to add from the System Fonts tab.

    To have drop shadow only for some text, you need to use two different sheets. Add the text which require drop shadow on one sheet, and the rest to another, then add the effect to the appropriate sheet.

    Yes, it is the latest version (3.42). It is funny, I have this installed on a Windows Vista Home Basic Service Pack 1 and CAN NOT select a font in the Text Properties. But I have the same install on a Windows 8 PC and it works fine. So what would be on the Vista machine that would not let this work????

    No idea. I know that generally Vista did cause a number of issues in a lot of different software that worked fine in 7 again, but I don't know anything more about this. I suggest you contact ProFantasy customer service directly.

    I agree with Monsen, it would have to be something alright. I have Vista Home Premium SP 2 and don't have that problem.
